Atika Roper, LPN

Nurse Atika Roper is a July 2020 graduate of Forsyth Technical Community College Nursing program, notably in the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has worked in various areas of medicine including Intermediate Care, MedSurg, Medical Trauma, and Covid IMC. She was a travel nurse for 1.5 years in several healthcare settings throughout North Carolina and Virginia. She credits her career in nursing as her "saving grace" and notes, "[t]he lessons that I have learned and the people that I have encountered have made me not only a better nurse but a better person." Above all, her hope is that she can impact lives for the better just as the profession has positively impacted her.
